Speaker: Dr. Dong Xuyen (psychologist)
Topic: Open dialogue, Q&A format, open to questions about contemporary Vietnamese politics and the role of young Vietnamese people in calling attention to human rights violations in the country.
Will be conducted in English and Vietnamese. Everyone is welcomed. Free of charge.

Our 8th Annual Cultural Show!! 

Our theme this year is, “Back to our Roots!” ~ Memories of the Vietnamese people and culture..

We welcome you to come to our BIGGEST event of the year!

Admission is FREE, So WHY NOT come to our event? There will be plenty of entertainment for everyone~ plus delicious Vietnamese Food! 

Some of the performances include: 

- ladies dancing with traditional hats
- martial arts performances
- singing
- skits
- dragon dance
and many more surprising and exciting performances

If you want to have good seats,we recommend arriving early. Refreshments will be served for those coming in early.

With teams cheering each other on, the buzzer going off between games, and the cut throat intensity when the games were close, the event was overall a wonderful and huge success.

A big thank you to the IVSU team for traveling from Chicago to participate in this event. All profits will be contributed to our CPP fund. =)

The VIETNAMESE STUDENT ASSOCIATION at NIU is inviting you to our Pho Night for Spring semester 2010. Our goal is to raise money for the Vietnamese American Heritage Foundation in enriching the education of Vietnamese culture in the American society. We organizing this event in a “restaurant” style; come with your tickets and we’ll serve you delcious bowl of PHO. Stay back to mingle afterwards if you’d like.

For those who are new to eating Vietnamese noodle soup, Pho, it consist of bean sprouts, basil, lime, jalapenos, green onion, in a broth made of fragrant spices. NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED. Pho is fun to eat, so have fun with it!

Lastly, each of our members are selling Pho tickets for $5 dollars. If you see them on the street you can ask if you can buy tickets from them.
